Calcutta, Aug 21 :    Calcutta, Aug 21:  Biecco Lawrie Ltd will again be listed on stock exchanges once its financial restructuring package is approved by the government. Company managing director Shib Prasad Mukherjee hinted the scrip will be revived on bourses, months after Biecco Lawrie bounced into the black with a cash profit of Rs 2.5 crore and a net profit of Rs 1 crore on a turnover of Rs 80 crore in 1998-99. The scrip was languishing after the company violated listing norms following continuous losses in the seventies and eighties. Biecco Lawrie was turned into a government company under IBP-Balmer Lawrie group during the nationalisation wave of seventies. The company survived on subsidies, but went on accumulating losses before being referred to the BIFR in 1992. However, after a thorough financial restructuring Biecco Lawrie started making operating profits since 1996. It made a cash profit of Rs 2.2 crore in 1997-98 as against Rs 1 crore in the previous year.
