Patna University on Thursday requested the district administration to evict students sitting on dharna for the past four days from its main campus.

The students are sitting on the dharna against Patna University and Patna Women's College administration as around 140 students have not been allowed to fill up exam forms on grounds of low attendance.

Patna University official K.N. Paswan, assigned to negotiate with the agitating students, said: "Due to the protest, university functioning is getting hampered as a large number of students assemble on the campus everyday."

Paswan along with PMCH doctors reached the campus on Thursday for shifting the students but in vain. At least six students are sitting on the dharna, including visually challenged Vidyanand.
