Patna, Sept. 30: Three days after fake cosmetics were seized from 9to9 Supermarket, senior officers of the supermarket chain challenged the authenticity of the team that accompanied the police claiming to be representatives of Procter & Gamble (P&G).
One Syed Mustafa Hussain, who claimed to be the head of Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa of a Mumbai-based Kangaroo Agency Private Limited, the authorised agency ostensibly set by P&G for conducting raids to seize their counterfeit products, had accompanied the raiding police team.
“On Tuesday, first Mustafa, along with some men, started taking Olay products off the display shelf. Our CCTV footage shows the men, except Mustafa, leaving after police arrived at 1.45pm. Mustafa then took Olay items in an open trolley and left. The FIR was lodged at Kotwali police station after 4pm. How can one be sure that the products seized belonged to our outlet? There is a 100 per cent chance of their replacement,” Yashovardhan Sinha, the 9to9 Supermarket chain director said.
