| Outgoing principal of Patna Medical College Amar Kant Jha Amar (left) shakes hands with his successor Surendra Nath Sinha at a programme organised by Junior Doctors’ Association (JDA) of the college on its premises on Tuesday. The JDA organised the programme to bid farewell to Amar and to welcome the new principal. Sinha, who has served as the principal of Darbhanga Medical College, asked for the support of students and teachers on his new journey. “I feel privileged that I got a chance to serve my own college. I studied in Patna Medical College, so I have a lot of love for this institution. I hope I would get the required support from the students and teachers of this institution in my endeavour to make it a better place,” Sinha said. He also spoke about upgrading the infrastructure of the college, including the library. Amar, the outgoing principal, became emotional while delivering his speech. “I thank all for the love and support,” he said, addressing students and head of the departments of the college.
