Patna, July 3: The state cabinet on Tuesday approved the proposal of the commercial taxes department to make available various forms “online” for traders.
“The cabinet approved the amendments in Value Added Tax (VAT) and Central Sales Tax (CST) for issuing various forms online, which the traders can use for inter- and intra-state trade,” cabinet coordination department principal secretary Ravikant said.
Stating that the traders can generate the forms after filling their registration numbers, Ravikant said forms D-VII, D-VIII, D-IX and D-X under VAT rules can be generated online and similarly, forms C, F, E1/E2, H and I under CST rules.
Bihar Chamber of Commerce President O. P. Sah said: “The move will help both businessmen and the government. He suggested that government should open facilitation centres for small traders.
The cabinet also approved the guidelines for providing coaching facilities to students from minority communities preparing for civil service examinations at the state- and central-level. Maulana Maz-harul Haque Arabic and Persian University has been made the nodal agency to implement the scheme.
The cabinet decided to increase the retirement age of teachers and scientists of Rajendra Agriculture University, Pusa, Samastipur and Bihar Agriculture University, Sabour, Bhagalpur from 62 to 65. It sanctioned Rs 44.75 crore for payment of salary to teachers of Plus Two schools in 2012-13. It also gave its nod to the appointment of Khagendranath Mahato as member (accounts) of commercial taxes tribunal, Patna.
