A Patna boy is now all set to give a tough fight to popular social networking sites.
Ankit Verma and Jharkhand-based Shibam Sarbswa have developed a social-cum-business networking site, TrackNext.
The site, www.tracknext.com, launched around two months ago, boasts of more than 3,000 users at present while more than 4,000 people are following it on its official Facebook page.
'My aim was to give a platform to people where they can publish their personal as well as professional views together at one go. Businessmen can be highly benefited from my website because the site has search engine optimisation of 83 per cent which would put your business-related updates on top of all search engines. Search engine optimisation is a technique, which helps search engines find and rank one site higher than many other sites. If you are looking out for making your business ventures visible, this one is the perfect platform,' said Ankit, who is basically a web entrepreneur having degree of computer science and engineering from Chennai-based Bharath University.
Ankit, 27, said he and his partner found out that in this country most of the start-ups and firms are good with their products and services but they are unable to scale it big as they have to hire some professionals to manage the SEO, social media management, newsletters as well as for hiring professionals. Therefore they decided to develop TrackNext, a platform, which is the cocktail of solutions of all problems.
Shibam, 21, co-founder of the site, who has recently completed his mechanical engineering course from Faridabad-based Manav Rachna International University, said: 'One of the interesting aspects of this website is that it provides batches to students who do well in their tests and recommend them to the human resource professionals of noted companies so that the students do not have to struggle for their placement. Besides, it can maintain data ranging from the person's location, industry skills and also educational qualifications. TrackNext helps individuals to connect with friends at the same time it helps business personnel to connect with other business owners and potential customers. People can also see vacancy-related information on the site and hire quality staff. TrackNext connects business owners with other business owners without a penny charged. You can also apply for partnership at the business page itself and can even upload your business-related advertisement at free of cost.'
So how is TrackNext different from other popular social networking sites? 'We are totally different from the other social networking sites. For example, Linkedln charges user for posting a job whereas we do not charge a penny for this service. Indirectly, we are promoting employment, even the newsletter services are free of cost which do not even exist in any networking sites and we are completely made in India product,' said Ankit.
Those who have started using TrackNext were full of praises for it. 'My CV has been explored by two noted companies who have given me some lucrative offers. Prior to TrackNext, I had uploaded my CV on some other networking sites but my CV was not tracked by any good company,' said Ravinder Dutt over phone from Delhi who happens to be a social entrepreneur and also a psychology teacher at Delhi Public School, Gurgaon.
Sushil Bhasin, chairman-cum-managing director of Empower Activity Camps Pvt. Ltd, a Mumbai-based company and also a retired brigadier of Indian Army, said: 'The best thing about this website is that it does not ask for a penny to promote your business ventures. Recently, I have shared my blog on this website and it has received very good response. I am really very happy to be a user of TrackNext.'
