Patna: Vinay Kumar Sinha, the alleged mastermind of the toilet scam, was arrested on Monday from Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh where he had been hiding after criss-crossing the country to avoid the dragnet.

The SIT has also nabbed Uday Singh, the president of Adi Shakti Sewa Sansthan, an NGO headquartered in Bakhtiyarpur near Patna, who is believed to be hand-in-glove with government officials in the scam. Singh was arrested from Patna.
