Nalanda visit

Central University of South Bihar students and faculty members visited the ruins of the ancient Nalanda University on Friday as part of an academic leadership-training programme.

On the way to Nalanda the participants got a chance to visit the site where "Mountain Man" Dasrath Manjhi hammered through a mountain to make a road and interacted with Bhagirath Manjhi, his son.

In Nalanda the participants got a glimpse of how the ancient university was established and managed at a time when the world was unaware about the concept of an university.
