Patna: The BJP on Wednesday termed the RJD publishing a "charge sheet" against the Nitish Kumar government as the Opposition party's effort to hide its own failures.

Terming the report card as "fake", the BJP also asked leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav to make himself aware of Bihar's growth rate.

Immediately after Tejashwi released the "charge sheet", BJP leader and state health minister Mangal Pandey led the counterattack.

"Having entered politics riding piggyback on his father (Lalu Prasad), Tejashwi should first make himself abreast with the growth rate of Bihar," Pandey said.

Launching a scathing attack on Tejashwi, Pandey claimed that it Tejashwi's father who exploited the state at the cost of its development and even after going to jail ruled the state through proxy and continued the loot.

"It is meaningless for you to speak on an issue like development," said the BJP leader.

Pandey demanded that Tejashwi also mention about creation of personal assets, corruption and jungle raj of the RJD in Bihar: "Tejashwi should first issue a report card on the 15 years of RJD misrule in the state."

Pandey then went on to speak at length about the achievements of the NDA government and claimed that the "double engine" government of Bihar was scripting rapid development in the state.

The BJP leaders have been terming the NDA government of Bihar as a "double engine" one because it has the support of the NDA at the Centre, which they claim is helping the government to deliver better on the development front.

Pandey also spoke about Nitish's seven resolves, and maintained that the schemes under the programme were being executed in a well-planned manner.

The BJP leader claimed that all the sectors, including roads, health, power and sanitation, had witnessed more positive changes during the NDA rule in the state than under the RJD.
