Patna: Actor-turned-politician and rebel BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha on Saturday made a harsh remark on the BJP-led NDA government over cash crunch saying " Ali Baba aur challis choron ki yeh sarkar hai".
Sinha, a known critic of the Narendra Modi government, said the one nation-one tax formula has now become one nation-seven tax.
"I am afraid that owing to the cash crunch, the government in haste will now make one nation and 40 taxes. Yeh Ali Baba aur challis choron ki sarkar dikhti hai (This government is of Ali Baba and 40 thieves)," Sinha said in the packed SK Memorial Hall during the first meeting of the National Forum founded by former finance minister Yashwant Sinha.
This not the first time, the Bihari Babu has spoken against the party. On several occasions in the past, he has embarrassed his own party. Sinha cited the example that once the biggest star campaigner of the party was ignored in every election, be it the 2015 Bihar election, the Delhi municipal elections, the Gujarat polls and in Uttar Pradesh.

The Patna Sahib MP said demonetisation had led to unemployment and forced closure of small-scale business apart from many factories. "When I raise the issue of severe impact of demonetisation, people react and say that I am speaking against the country and the party line. No party is bigger than the country. There is plenty of complication in GST. I asked a few of my friends like the Tatas and others. They said implementation of GST at midnight was a big drama and boring," Sinha said.
Sinha stressed that the party was bigger than person; similarly the country was bigger than the party and he will remain with the country and not think about the consequences. He pointed out that he is not afraid of anyone, neither was he going against his party line.
"I am not speaking against my party line and want to stress that I belong to this country and will remain loyal to the my nation. I am not bothered whether I will get the ticket next time or not. I might be kicked out from the party, which I am waiting for. However, I am still in the BJP until shown the door. However, Bihar and Patna are my home ' Jeena yaha marna yaha, iske siva jana kaha'," said Sinha, adding that he will not quit the BJP and it was up to the party to throw him out.
He also praised young RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, calling him Arjun saying that there was a need of people like Yashwant Sinha who can play the role of Krishna and also leaders like Tejashwi, who is Arjun in today's world.
Sinha said the entire Bihar was looking at Tejashwi and no leader in Bihar could stand in front of him and he was the only face of the state.
