Patna, Aug. 4: For the first time in Bihar, a two-day physics camp will be organised in September to give school and college teachers an exposure to international-standard experiments that will finally benefit the students.

The camp — Physics Olympiad Exposure Camp — on September 26-27 will be organised by Magadh Mahila College in collaboration with Homi Bhabha Centre For Science Education, Mumbai, on the institute premises, said Dolly Sinha, the principal of the college, at a news meet today.

Sinha said: “We have sent letters to around 42 educational institutions, including school and colleges in Bihar and Jharkhand, about this camp. If anyone else is keen on participating, they should directly contact the college administration before August 31. Only 40 teachers will make it to the camp after selection.”

Vijay Singh, the national co-ordinator of Science Olympiads, Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, said: “Participants will be introduced to cutting-edge state-of-the-art Olympiad-standard experiments at the higher secondary- and the undergraduate-level. The participants will be teachers from higher secondary schools and colleges.”
