Rural workshop
E-Governance Services India Limited (EGSIL), an institution under the Union department of information technology, will organise a workshop on Common Services Centres (CSC) at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna on June 23.
The event will cover new forms of rural entrepreneurships.
Union minister of communications and information technology Ravi Shankar Prasad will be the chief guest.
EGSIL-Bihar head Pankaj Sharma said minister will launch an e-commerce portal and several new services that would be available at CSC or Vasudha kendras. The portal will also help market Madhubani paintings from Bihar to help improve the economic condition of the artists.
Protest march
Artistes from various cultural groups on Tuesday took out a protest march in support of the agitating students of College of Arts and Crafts.
The march was taken out from the NIT roundabout. The artistes from Indian People's Theatre Association, Bihar Art Theatre, Anhad and other organisations demanded immediate intervention of the Patna University administration and the state government in the matter.
The artistes demanded the revocation of the suspension of eight students. They also demanded a probe into the alleged irregularities of the college principal.
