Patna Pirates gear up to win tourney

Patna Pirates’ captain Rakesh Kumar on Tuesday said their team was looking to win the Pro Kabaddi League, 2015. Sharing their plans and strategies about future matches to be played, Rakesh said: “The team has gained confidence after beating Jaipur Pink Panthers at their home ground and we will continue our form in the next matches. The team expects the same love and support of the fans as last year.”

The officials said some changes in rules have been made this year concerning the umpire referral system. This time, one chance will be given to each team for referring the decisions of the ground umpires to the third umpire. If successful, a second referral chance will be given to the team while no chances will be given to the unsuccessful team. The team management said this time there are three foreign players playing for the Pirates. Two of them, Nasir Ali and Wasim Sajjad, are from Pakistan while one is from South Korea. The officials said the team benefited a lot from a month-long training in Delhi prior to the start of the league.
