Cardiology session

The 22nd annual conference of Indian College of Cardiology came to an end on Sunday.
Cardiologist Rakesh Jalota from Lucknow, A.K. Singh from Varanasi, S. Natrajan from Coimbatore and S. Sharma from Delhi were among the dignitaries present on the concluding day.
While Jalota spoke on various medicines to treat blood pressure, A.K. Singh focussed on diseases caused because of the lack of vitamin D.
S. Natrajan discussed about the new medicines for treating patients who suffer from high cholesterol.
The head of the cardiology department of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS), B.P. Singh, chaired the session. City-based cardiologists A.K. Jha and U.C Shamal were present at the meet. It was decided that the next annual conference of the Indian College of Cardiology would be held in Goa.
