Volleyball tourney

Governor Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated a CBSE Cluster IV volleyball tournament for boys and girls on Monday at Gyan Niketan School.

The tournament would take place from October 13 to 15. Seventy-seven teams from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh will take part. Kovind unfurled the CBSE flag and released balloons to mark the opening.

Kovind said: "Sports teach students discipline. A sportsman should never give up even if he loses a match or two. A true sportsman is the one who bounces back after a failure."

He appreciated the efforts of the host school for providing quality education with traditional values to children. He congratulated the school founder and administrator Anita Kunal for their work towards providing a holistic education to the children. The school principal, Shubodip Dey, vice-principal S.K. Jha and other teachers from the host school were present at the event.
