Patna buses on new route

Bihar State Road Development Corporation Ltd starts 10th new bus service from 1st week of December

The transport department will roll out another bus service from the Income Tax roundabout to Kurji Mor via Boring road, making it the 10th to be started by the Bihar State Road Development Corporation Ltd (BSRDCL).

The service will start from the first week of December. Four buses will hit the road on that stretch with 10 stops.

“From Income tax roundabout, the bus will take Boring Road, AN College, Notre Dame Academy, PN Mall to reach Kurji Mor and will take the same route on its way back. We already have a connecting bus service on Digha road, which the people will utilise for their convenience,” transport secretary Sanjay Kumar Agarwal told The Telegraph.

The nine routes on which the bus service are available includes Gandhi Maidan to Danapur bus stand, Gandhi Maidan to Danapur railway station, Gandhi Maidan to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS, Gandhi Maidan to Patna University, Gandhi Maidan to Hajipur, Gandhi Maidan to Patna Sahib railway station, Saguna Mor to Manersharif, Gandhi Maidan to Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital in Bihta and the most recent was Gandhi Maidan to Handi Saheb gurdwara in Digha.

Agarwal said fare on the 32-seat will vary between Rs 5 and Rs 15 and it will be available every 15 minutes.

“Half the buses going towards Danapur and Bihta will now not touch Patna Junction and will directly reach their destination. It will save time of the passengers,” Agarwal said. Sixty-five per cent of seats will be reserved for women passengers on the bus.
