Patna, Sept. 3: Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday did not fully endorse the disruption of Parliament for “faulty” coal block allocation, stressing that the NDA was taking steps to end the deadlock. “The constitutional provision is that the CAG report goes to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and actions are taken on basis of the PAC report,” he said. Nitish, however, maintained that it is an “old tradition” in Parliament on CAG reports that is being followed — indicating towards disruption by the Congress when the NDA was in power at the Centre. He has so far remained silent on the continued disruption in Parliament over the CAG report and the BJP’s demand for the Prime Minister’s resignation.
