Patna: Rohtas police on Sunday foiled an attempt by criminals to rob a Dehri-on-Sone-based businessman of Rs 8 lakh following the arrest of seven members of an inter-district gang with illegal arms and cellphones near Jorabarpur. uring interrogation, the seven admitted that they had gathered near the canal bridge to rob the businessman. Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday flagged off the “Rabi Mahotsav Rath” that would cover all 38 districts in Bihar to create awareness among farmers about the ongoing horticulture programme of the state government. Munger: Two persons received bullet injuries when two groups of people opened fire at Jamalpur. Sources said the incident occurred because of a land dispute. Muzaffarpur: A shopkeeper, Rajeev Kumar, received serious burn injuries when criminals poured acid on him near Benipur canal under Aurai police station on Sunday.
