Civil aid for ‘ill’ tourist

Gaya: A 35-year-old German tourist, Bekeate Barbara, reached the civil lines police station at around 1.30am on Sunday and sought medical help.edical examination of the lady tourist revealed that she was fine. Gaya senior superintendent of police Vinay Kumar said the only problem with the lady was that she appeared to be suffering from depression.

Inauguration

Gaya: Chief minister Nitish Kumar would inaugurate the three-day Buddha Mahotsava to be organised in Bodhgaya between February 3 and 5. Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee secretary Nangzey Dorjee said the inauguration ceremony would be held at 4pm. Cultural programmes, inter religious prayer, food festival and an exhibition on Buddhism would be organised as part of the event.

Jehanabad: Assistant power engineer Amarji Mishra was killed and two others were injured as a car collided with a truck near Kanaudi village on National Highway-30 in the district on Sunday.

Collision

Motihari: A vehicle carrying Kesariya MLA Sachindra Prasad Singh, his wife Abha Kiran, daughter Richa Shandilya and a security officer Guddu Mishra collided with a gas tanker at 6.30am on Sunday. All of them escaped with minor injuries.
