Fodder scam trial

Patna: The trial of fodder scam has begun in the special CBI court from Monday. The scam is connected with Bhagalpur and Banka treasuries. BI produced two prosecution witnesses for their deposition according to the direction. Witnesses Mahesh Prasad and Prithivi Raj Gond, both government servants, gave their statements on Monday.

Milk outlet

Patna: An outlet of Amul Milk Products was formally opened at the parking area of Jai Prakash Narayan International airport in the state capital on Monday.

Mushroom

Nalanda: Nalanda district magistrate Sanjay Kumar Agarwal on Monday announced that 1,884kg of mushroom produced daily in Nalanda will now be sold at all outlets of Sudha Dairy products in the district in the first phase.

Liquor licence

Patna: A high court division bench asked the state government to file its reply within four weeks on a contempt petition seeking implementation of court order and excise law for issuing a licence for liquor shop.

Body found

Chhapra: The body of one Munni Devi was found in a river at Saidpur village under Dariapur police station on Monday. An FIR has been lodged against Devi’s father-in-law.

Man killed

Chhapra: A man died after he was hit with an iron rod by one Phuljhari Devi and her son over a minor dispute. B>otihari: The jewellery shop owners and goldsmiths in the district kept their shops closed on Monday to protest against the Centre’s tax policies.
