Patna: Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI) on Monday condemned the decision of Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation to hike the prices of milk and milk products.UCI state unit secretary Shiv Shanker said the state government has put an additional burden on the people who were already victims of high prices of food and petroleum products, and demanded the roll back of the hike. Patna: Passengers of GoAir Patna-Delhi morning flight got into an altercation with airline employees, at Patna airport on Monday, after being made to wait for four hours. Sources said the flight was scheduled to arrive on time but bad weather in Delhi disrupted its schedule. The irked passengers refused to listen to the explanations offered by the GoAir employees. Patna: All India Students’ Federation (AISF) members on Monday staged a dharna for five hours in front of the Patna branch office of Magadh University to press for various demands, including withdrawal of centralised admission in postgraduate courses. AISF district president Navneet Kumar said the students wanted the varsity vice-chancellor and other officials to attend office at the Patna branch for at least two days a week and hostel facilities be made available for AN College pupils. Patna: Congress workers, political leaders and residents on Monday paid floral tribute to Bihar’s first chief minister Sri Krishna Sinha on his 50th death anniversary at Sadaquat Ashram, the state Congress headquarters. Former minister Kripa Nath Pathak, Moti Lal Sharma, Umakant Singh and others, who attended the function, said Sinha was one of the most important leaders of the freedom movement.
