Patna: Academics on Wednesday came together to demand special status for Bihar. A seminar named “Development needs of Bihar and justification of special status demand” was organised by Panta University geography department.peakers at the seminar said the demand for special status should not be confined to political corridors.

Arrest

Purnea: Five persons were arrested from Soti Chowk under Kasba police station on Wednesday, after cops checked a car and recovered Rs 1.5lakh from it. The men had allegedly stolen the money from a Nepalese man. Three others managed to escape.

Inspection

Gaya: The state government has posted 13 doctors at Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital in view of the Medical Council of India inspection that began on February 22.

Patna: Cricket Association of Bihar has welcomed the decision of chief minister Nitish Kumar for the promotion of cricket in the state. Association president Shekar Sinha said Bihar is lagging behind other states in sports and promotion of cricket would help promote other sports.
