Cops find dead man alive

Patna: Siyaram Pandey, a resident of Neknam Tola under Barhara police station in Bhojpur, was found alive even as police records said he had died. hojpur superintendent of police M.R. Naik said, the police intercepted Pandey, while he was proceeding to submit his nomination papers and took him into custody. Pandey was wanted in a murder case.

Gaya: Around 15 armed criminals on Tuesday looted cash and valuables worth around Rs 60,000 from passengers of a bus going to Jehanabad from Ranchi. The incident took place near the Bageshwari railway crossing under Kotwali police station.

Patna: Fast-track court (I) judge Jafar Imam Malick awarded life imprisonment to Suraj Rai, a resident of Bihunpur Pakri, in connection with the murder of Krishna Kumar of village Etbarpur on February 14, 2001.

Patna: The SK Puri police station lodged an FIR on Tuesday against for giving extortion calls to one Dharmendra Kumar Singh, a contractor engaged in road construction.
