Patna: JD (U) state unit spokesperson Sanjay Singh reacted strongly to RJD’s allegations regarding the setting up of a branch of Aligarh Muslim University at Kishanganj. Singh said the state government was willing to provide 275 acres of land at Kishanganj to set up the university but the varsity authorities want the land at one place.ingh also attacked RJD and said the NDA government had done a lot for the development of higher education over the past 5 years while RJD had done nothing in its 15-year rule.

Dehri-on-Sone: Maoist activist Uma Yadav was arrested from Madhiya village under Nokha police station in Rohtas district on Sunday. A countrymade pistol and two live cartridges were seized from Yadav.

Patna: Police have opened a central fine collection centre at the Dakbungalow roundabout for collecting fines of traffic norm violators. It will be functional from Monday.
