Cops attach assets

Patna: Bhojpur police on Monday attached the property of Abhay Pandey, the main accused in the murder of Ranvir Sena chief Brahmeshwar Singh ‘Mukhiya’. andey, who is absconding, is a resident of the Katira village, where Mukhiya lived. He allegedly gave shelter to those who killed Mukhiya on June 1.

Body found

Patna: Gardanibagh police on Monday recovered the body of a middle-aged man from his house in Indrapuri area. The man, identified as Randeep, lived alone and gave private tuitions.

Patna: Two students of Nalanda Medical College were beaten up badly on Monday by a group of people after they had a quarrel over jumping of queue at an ATM counter.

Gaya: The state human rights commission will take up the matter of the death of two suspected Maoists during an enconter with security forces. Awadhesh Manjhi and Kailu Manjhi, who died during a gunbattle in Barha-Chhakarnabdha forest on June 10, were Maoists, security personnel had claimed.
