Guilty in 2008 murder

Patna: Additional district and sessions judge Om Prakash Srivastava on Monday held Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Bahrampur village, and Sanoj Kumar alias Teni, a resident of Sampatchak, Patna, guilty in a 2008 murder case. he punishment will be announced on July 26.

Patna: Birendra Sah, a farmer, was abducted from Dahar village under Adhaura police station in Kaimur district on Monday. Thirty-five-year-old Munmun Singh was killed in a shootout at Bhartar village in Kaimur in another incident.

Chhapra: An engineering student, Sonu Kumar, drowned in river Saryu at Manjhi on Monday. He had gone to the river for a bath.

Patna: District magistrate Sanjay Kumar Singh on Monday said passbooks of Indira Awas Yojana would be distributed among beneficiaries in all blocks of the district on July 28.
