Mishap kills three

Patna: A National Thermal Power Corporation engineer was killed and two others injured in a road accident at Kalyan village near Athmalgola on Sunday. he mishap occurred when the engineer Avinash Jha’s car lost control and turned turtle after a tyre burst.

Chargesheet

Patna: Police have submitted chargesheet against 290 mukhiya contestants in fray for the panchayat polls, including 62 village heads and district board members, said director-general of police Neel Mani on Sunday.

Robbery

Patna: Two criminals robbed cash and valuables from the house of Neelu Singh, a resident of the third floor of Arya Apartment under Shastrinagar police station around 3pm on Sunday. She is a retired teacher of JD Women’s College.

Murders

Chhapra: Shanichari Devi, 70, and Raj Kumar, 13, were beaten to death at a mango orchard in Mali Tola village under Hussainganj police station on Sunday. Police said the murders could be related to panchayat elections.
