Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar expressed his condolence on the death of Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Dorjee Khandu. In his condolence message, Nitish said Khandu was a popular politician and an able administrator. e said the sudden and unfortunate demise of the leader is an irreparable loss not only to his home state but to the political arena of the entire country.Patna: There appears to be no immediate calling of the ongoing strike of Air India (AI) pilots. Katriar and Justice Samrendra Pratap Singh of the Patna High Court on Wednesday refused to entertain a PIL by Mohar Jha challenging the three-time hike in salary and perks of MLAs/MLCs. Jha said: “At a time when the state government’s economic condition is not in the pink of health and the state has been urging for central assistance to carry out its schemes and other development projects, then there is no justification of paying such a fat salary to the legislators of a poor state.” Chhapra: One person died and two sustained injuries when a truck hit their motorcycle. The deceased has been identified as Sri Bhagwan Rai and the injured as Lal Bahadur Rai and Moti Lal Rai of Kerva Chauthai village under Masrak police station. The driver and the cleaner of the truck managed to escape. The agitated villagers broke the windscreen of the truck and were trying to set it on fire but the police arrived and took the situation under control.
