Power meeting today

Patna, Aug. 20: Vinayak Chandra Gupta, member (finance & revenue) of Bihar State Electricity Board, will conduct a review meeting for revenue, metering and other services, besides hearing complaints from consumers on Tuesday at Saharsa’s general manager-cum-chief engineer office, board spokesperson H.R. Pandey said. e said Gupta would hear complaints from consumers on August 22 in Purnea. Consumers can come with their complaints after 4pm.

Girl found

Patna: A 14-year-old girl, who was wandering near the Jakkanpur bus stand late on Sunday night, was recovered by police. The girl in her statement said she had come with her parents from Rajasthan. On Sunday evening, her parents left her near the bus stand and disappeared. The police have handed over the girl to an NGO and are probing into the matter.

Patna: Bihar State Ball Badminton Association secretary Gouri Shankar on Monday said the association honoured players, coaches and managers of the state who participated in various state and national ball badminton championship.

Patna: Auto Mens’ Association has alleged that Patna traffic superintendent of police Chandrika Prasad of harassing them unnecessarily.

Patna: Bihar Intermediate Shikshak evam Shikshakettar Karmchari Mahasangh would organise a mahadharna in front of Bihar School Examination Board office on August 29 in support of various demands, including increase in the seats of inter college. Mahasangh would also organise a dharna on Wednesday.

Shot at

Ara: A 20-year-old youth Chunnu Rai was shot at by criminals in the Dhobiyaghat area while he was returning home from a gym on Monday evening.
