Patna: The high court on Wednesday admitted an appeal filed by A2Z Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd questioning the decision of Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation to carry out sanitation work in 63 wards on behalf of Patna Municipal Corporation.2Z claimed that it had the tender for 72 wards of the city.

Jailor threat

Patna: Beur Central Jail jailor Amarjeet Singh on Tuesday received an email with a threat to kill him. An FIR has been lodged.

SUV found

Patna: Police patrolling the Punaichak area in Shastri Nagar on Wednesday recovered an SUV stolen at Alamganj a few days back. Two persons in the car were arrested.

MNS protest

Patna: The RJD youth wing on Wednesday burnt an effigy of MNS chief Raj Thackeray at the Income Tax roundabout to protest against his reported comment that people from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand were responsible for the riots in Mumbai on August 11.

Condolence

Patna: The high court on Wednesday condoled the death of senior advocate Shakeel Ahmad Khan.
