Modi eye on test result

Patna: Patna zone regional officer-cum-joint secretary of Central Board of Secondary Examination S.U. Sorte met deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi and apprised him of the objections being raised on the 10+2 results of Bihar zone. eplying to Modi’s query on complaints over anomalies in results, Sorte said out of 2,100 applications, re-totalling has been completed in case of 1,000 applications and the board could detect anomalies of half or one mark in just a few cases.

Maoist nabbed

Patna: Ram Swaroop Yadav, alias Vikas Yadav, a Maoist, was arrested from Barun police station area in Aurangabad district. A resident of Gaya’s Imamganj, Vikas, was wanted in over 48 cases, including attacking a police team in Tandwa and l ooting firearms from Simra police.

Judge oath

Patna: Patna High Court Chief Justice Rekha M. Doshit would administer oath to the newly appointed eight additional judges to the high court on June 20. The newly appointed judges include V. Nath, Shivaji Pandey, A.K. Singh, Vikas Jain, A. Amanullah (all advocates), A.K. Trivedi, R.K. Mishra and A.K. Lal (all district judges).

Criticism

Power panel

Patna: Vigilance sleuths caught Ravindra Kumar, the district statistics officer of Saharsa, red-handed while he was accepting Rs 18,000 as bribe from one Wakil Ahmad on Thursday.

Patna: Police have revamped patrol shifts of all officers, including the three DSPs deputed on Mahatma Gandhi Setu, in the state capital.
