Bench seeks reply

Patna: A division bench of Justice S.K. Katriar and Justice Vikas Jain on Monday asked the state government to file its reply on a PIL seeking improvement in healthcare facilities right from primary health centres to Sadar hospital in Munger. he petitioner centre for health and resource management submitted that all these health hubs lack basic facilities.

Directive

Patna: Patna High Court on Monday directed the state government to accept the joining of 20 newly selected candidates for the post of motor vehicle inspectors.

Transfers

Patna: The general administration department (GAD) on Monday transferred three IAS officials. Amitabh Verma, the principal secretary of social welfare department, has been made additional departmental inquiry commissioner in the GAD. Sunil Barthwal has been transferred as additional departmental inquiry commissioner and Sandip Paundrik has been made secretary of social welfare department.

Flights delay

Patna: Two Delhi-bound flights, AI-415 and Jet Airways’ S2 290 got delayed at Patna airport on Monday owing to technical snags. AI- 415 arrived at 8.30pm against its scheduled arrival at 7.30pm and S2 290 arrived at 8.20pm against its scheduled arrival at 6.50pm.

Arrests

Chhapra: Three persons, including a woman, were arrested on Monday in connection with purchasing a minor for marriage.

Threat

Patna: One Brij Kishore Singh, a section officer with the Bihar Vidhan Sabha has lodged a complaint with Rupaspur police station after he received threat calls from a person who claimed to be several police officers including superintendent of police Shivdeep Lande.
