Raid on cold storage

Patna: A special task force team, headed by Ashok Kumar, raided the premises of Dhan Kunwar Cold Storage located at Nasriganj area in Digha for its alleged involvement in power theft.ihar State Electricity Board spokesman H.R. Pandey said the theft was done after tampering with the meter. He added that the board imposed a fine of Rs 71 lakh on the firm. An FIR has been lodged with Danapur police station against the firm’s proprietor Satyendra Kumar, who is on the run.

Patna: A bench of Justice Ajay Kumar Tripathi on Tuesday directed the Central Board of School Examination to file its reply on a bunch of petitions filed by students seeking re-evaluation of their answer-sheets. The board would file its counter affidavit by July 12, the next date of hearing.

Patna: A bench of Justice V.N. Sinha of Patna High Court on Tuesday issued a contempt notice to Gopalganj district magistrate asking him to explain why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against him for not following the court’s order with regard to appointment of Grade IV employees of the collectorate.
