Early salary gift

Patna: The state government has decided to release the salaries of government employees for August on August 25 ahead of Id-ul-Fitr. eputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi said the proposal with regard to payment of salary for August has been approved by the department.

Escape

Patna: Three inmates of a remand home at Ara in Bhojpur district escaped after scaling the boundary wall of the building late on Wednesday night

Applications

Patna: The state police headquarters has received 1,088 applications under the Right to Public Services Act. Additional director-general of police (headquarters) Rajvardhan Sharma said that 194 applications were disposed of on August 18. Deputy inspector-general of police (human rights) S. Ravindran has been appointed as nodal officer to deal with the applications received under the act.

Patna: About 775 candidates, whose names have been removed from the final merit list prepared by central selection board for the recruitment of constables, have approached Patna High Court.

Patna: Twenty-eight pistols and 14 magazines were recovered by Patna Government Railway Police from a person on Thursday night.

Patna: Vigilance investigation bureau on Thursday filed a chargesheet against former circle officer of Belaganj circle in Gaya district Sultan Ahamad in connection with a bribery case.ircle officer of Madhubani block Pawan Kumar Singh, under Bagaha police district of West Champaran was trapped red handed by the state vigilance sleuth while accepting a bribe of rupees ten thousand from here on Thursday. Following a complain related with a land affair by one Mohan Kushwaha of Madhubani village, a team headed by a Dy SP rank officer R.K.Poddar reached there and trapped the C.O.District magistrate of West Champaran has confirmed trapping of the C.O stating further that he was informed by the vigilance Dy SP regarding trapping of the erring official.
