Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday conducted an aerial survey of flood-hit areas of Patna and Nalanda districts. ater resources department minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary and senior state government officials accompanied the chief minister.

Flights off

Patna: Jet Airways cancelled its Mumbai-bound flights from Patna airport— S2 102 (Mumbai- Delhi-Patna) and S2 109 (Patna- Delhi- Mumbai) for Monday and Tuesday. The incoming Mumbai-Delhi-Patna flight S2 102 arrives at Patna airport at 2.50pm daily. The outgoing Mumbai-bound flight S2 109 departs from Patna airport at 7.30pm everyday. Jet sources informed the cancellation of flights was owing to operational reasons.

No entry fee

Patna: Ambedkar Group of Education would not charge admission fee from students opting to take admissions till September 5 in institutions being run by the group.

Function

Patna: Vedanta Foundation organised a special function in Devipad Choudhary Miller School on Monday in which wrist watches and bags were distributed among teachers, employees and students.

Black belts

Patna: Four students of Don Bosco Academy and one of Delhi Public School, Patna, have won black belts from Lee Martial Arts Academy. Academy co-ordinator Avinash Kumar distributed certificates among the students in a function held on Monday.

Correction

he caption for the picture accompanying the article “Rama faith, not fact for Sharma”, published in the August 22 edition of The Telegraph, was incorrect. The caption should have been chief minister Nitish Kumar garlands the picture of late musician Pandit Shyam Das Misra. The error is regretted.
