Patna: East Central Railway (ECR) has decided to run two special trains to cater to the needs of the passengers owing to festive season. ibrugarh-Chandigarh Puja Special train (05903) will run from September 16 to November 20 and it will have stops at Katihar, Sonepur, Hajipur, Chhapra and Gorakhpur. Another train Kamakhya-Lokmanya Tilak Terminal Express (05649) will run from September 15 to November 7 and it will halt at Barauni, Patna and Begusarai.Patna: Principal secretary of industry department C.K. Mishra has been given the additional charge of chief executive officer of Bihar Foundation. Patna: Fifty-nine pending warrants were executed on Wednesday which resulted in arrest of 52 criminals. A press note issued by Patna senior superintendent of police Alok Kumar said that in the past 24 hours, the police also attached properties of four absconding accused persons. In a police raid under Digha police station, they seized 640 litres of illicit liquor and an automatic machine used for making fake packets of country liquor. Patna: A Rohtas-based liquor trader Parmanand Sah, who was reportedly kidnapped on August 31 from Baddi police station area of the district, was recovered on Wednesday. The police claimed that Sah had enacted the kidnapping drama to implicate his co-villager Lakhan Sah and his supporters owing to business rivalry. Patna: The state police headquarters has assigned deputy inspector-general of police (administration) to monitor the development in the cases selected for speedy trial. Earlier, the additional director-general of police (headquarters) used to minitor it. Patna: Six members of an inter-district gang were arrested and six country-made pistols , three mobile phones and a large number of live cartridges recovered. Rohtas superintendent of police Manu Maharaj said the arrested criminals were involved in over a dozen incidents of loot and dacoity.i
