Munger, Aug. 23: Lakhisarai police fired nine rounds in the air today to disperse a mob agitating on the tracks near Mankattha railway station for the release of one Niranjan Sah, who was allegedly involved in the August 17 loot on the Maurya Express. rain movement on the Jamalpur-Kiul-Patna section was disrupted for five hours from 10am. The mob pelted police with stones, injuring 13 officers, after which the personnel fired in the air and burst tear gas shells.
