Ruckus in health hub

Patna: Relatives of Sheikhpura district resident Mohammed Murtaza (50), admitted to Patna Medical College and Hospital, created a ruckus at the health hub on Monday after the patient died. urtaza’s son Sajjad said a nurse had given his father, who was brought to Rajendra Surgical Block with a leg injury on Wednesday, a wrong injection after which he died. Police arrived at the hospital to check the ruckus. An FIR has been lodged against a doctor and a ward boy for allegedly assaulting one of Murtaza’s relatives.

Exam date

Patna: The subsidiary examination of bachelor of science in botany Part I, which was scheduled on June 1, has been postponed to June 6, as the date clashed with All India Institute of Medical Sciences entrance examination.

Lost infant

Patna: Police said they had some leads and were trying to recover the newborn who went missing from the ICU of Patna Medical College and Hospital on last Saturday.

Rural schemes

Patna: Rural development department principal secretary Amrit Lal Meena on Monday issued a letter to all district magistrates to ensure participation of people from socially and economically backward sections in schemes under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Generation Act.

Training

Patna: Bihar Prashashnik Sudhaar Mission will organise a nine-day training and capacity building programme for Group D employees of state government from Tuesday.

Seminar

Patna: Non-government organisation Prem Youth Foundation on Monday organised a daylong state level seminar at Youth Hostel on police atrocities and sexual harassment. Speaking on the programme, national co-ordinator of the foundation, Ajay Yadav, the increase in the number of sexual harassment cases in Bihar was alarming.

Auto protest

Patna: Members of Patna Zila Auto Riksha Chalak Sangh on Monday blocked the route towards Boring Road, Bailey Road and Rajapur Pul protesting against the decision of the police to stop autos from going to East Boring Canal Road to Dakbungalow and Frazer Road.
