Court strike Six in net Statement Guilty Selection

Court strike

Patna: Around 500 lawyers in Jehanabad civil court abstained from work on Tuesday to protest the lack of basic amenities in the new building of the court.he lawyers and resolved not to assume duty till their demands were met. About 70 undertrials lodged in the Jehanabad district jail could not be produced before the respective trial courts because of the agitation.

Six in net

Patna: Six persons were arrested on Tuesday on the charge of printing duplicate copies of the books published by the NCERT and other publications. Police also seized pornographic books from the printing press during the raid.

Statement

Patna: Ram Sandesh Rai, a high court advocate, on Tuesday gave his statement before judicial magistrate Ravi Ranjan in connection with the recent statements of ministers regarding killing of five soldiers on the India-Pakistan border. The next hearing is on August 29.

Guilty

Patna: The court of additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday held guilty Guddu Kumar, a resident of Mithapur under the jurisdiction of Jakkanpur police station, in connection with a murder of Mohan Choudhary on March 18, 2005.

Selection

Patna: Clarence Peter, director of Veena Vidya Niketan, Patna, has been selected to take part at a research-based workshop being organised by Central Board of Secondary Education and Centre for Assessment, Evaluation and Research in Calcutta in the third week of September.
