Garbage plant

Patna: A high court division bench on Wednesday directed the state’s chief secretary to take action to set up a garbage disposal plant in the capital. he court gave the government two weeks to inform the court about the steps being taken.

Theft case

Patna: Police on Wednesday claimed to have solved a case related to theft of jewellery and other valuables from the Ashiana Nagar-Digha road residence of a Rajasthan cadre IAS officer 10 months after the incident.

Power cut

Patna: Power played truant for two to six hours in most areas of central Patna, like Frazer Road, Exhibition Road, Jamal Road, SP Verma Road, Bandar Bagicha, Bank Road, Biscomaun, Railway Station Road and Dakbungalow roundabout owing to a fault in the 33KV PESU 9 feeder and intermittent rains in the past three days.

Chhapra: Property worth crores was gutted in a motorbike showroom fire caused by a short circuit on Tuesday.

AIIMS ATM

Patna: A Bank of India’s ATM became functional on Patna AIIMS premises on Wednesday. Bank sources said the new ATM is 70th of the bank in Patna zone.

Complaint

Patna: A member of Bihar State Dalpati Mahasangh, Mohammad Hatim, on Wednesday filed a complaint against chief minister Nitish Kumar and security guards in the chief judicial magistrate court in connection with an assault and theft.

Rebel attack

Gaya: Suspected ultras of revolutionary communist centre, a breakaway group of CPI(Maoist), on Tuesday demolished the walls of an under-construction panchayat bhavan at Pakhlaitiya village of Gaya district.

Food bill

Gopalganj: CPI-ML general secretary Deepankar Bhattacharya on Tuesday said the food security bill was of not much help as it talked of providing limited foodgrains to a part of population.
