Devotees hurt in stampede

Gaya: Around 14 devotees were injured on Monday at Vanawar under the jurisdiction of Makhdumpur block in Jehanabad district. The devotees had gone to offer prayers at Baba Siddheshwar Nath temple atop Vanawar hills. he railing of the stairs leading to the temple got damaged because of the rush of devotees. This led to a stampede in which the devotees were injured. On getting information, Jehanabad district magistrate Md Sohail rushed to the spot. He confirmed injury of 14 devotees. Three of the seriously injured were referred to Makhdumpur hospital, while others were provided first aid at Vanawar by a team of doctors.

Vehicle lifters

Patna: The police on Monday busted a gang of vehicle lifters and arrested 13 people. The gang operated in Patna region.
