Dengue cases

Patna, Sept. 12: Nineteen new cases of dengue were reported from city hospitals today. f the total, eight were confirmed cases reported from medical college hospitals, while the rest were suspected cases from private hospitals, said a source from the Patna district civil surgeon’s office. So far, 216 cases have been reported from the district of which 127 are confirmed. From Patna, 46 cases have been reported of which 16 were confirmed.

Book fair

Patna: A two-day book fair started at Patna College to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on Thursday.

Protest

Patna: Members of All India Students’ Federation on Thursday staged a demonstration at the Patna University administrative block demanding affiliation for various postgraduate courses.

Cong plan

Patna: Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Vinod Sharma on Thursday said a district contact programme would be launched from September 19 at Bhojpur.

Seizure order

Patna: The home department has approved the police headquarter’s proposal to confiscate properties of seven senior leaders belonging to the CPI(Maoist). Sources said the property of 16 others would be confiscated shortly.
