Patna: The education department will award performing schools based on different parameters on National Education Day next month. ational Education Day is celebrated on November 11. It marks the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the country’s first education minister.

Scam tiff

Patna: The state government has decided to keep unprocessed tobacco out of the purview of taxes. Chief minister Nitish Kumar made this announcement after a delegation of tobacco farmers met him on Thursday and shared their problems.

Patna: South Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd managing director Sanjay Kumar Agrawal conducted a surprise inspection at the headquarters of Patna Electric Supply Undertaking (Pesu) on Thursday. e directed Pesu general manager SSP Srivastava to take steps, including putting in place separate bill counters for women and elderly persons, waiting chairs, install CCTV cameras and make available potable water, to ensure consumers’ convenience.
