Patna: The members of Chhatra Samagam, who were sitting on an indefinite hunger strike in support of their demands to the Magadh University administration, called off their protest on Thursday after the varsity accepted most of their demands. ne of demands accepted by the Magadh University administration was the issuance of marksheets from colleges, affiliated to the university, in Patna. Gaya: The 10th national conference of the All India Democratic Women’s Association will begin on Friday at the examination hall of Magadh University, Bodhgaya. Participants at the five-day event will discuss means to stop atrocities against women and put pressure on the government and rights of women among others. A rally was organised at Gaya’s Azad Park in support of the event. CPM leaders Subhashini Ali and Brinda Karat attended the rally.
