Asset details

Patna: The home department on Wednesday issued a notification, asking its employees to furnish details of their movable and immovable assets for the financial year 2013-14 by December 31. he details would be uploaded on the official website of the government on March 31, 2014.

Arms seizure

Patna: Three arms suppliers were arrested on Wednesday from Sheikhpura. The special task force personnel seized five illegal firearms and Rs 9,000 from them. Four others were arrested from the Beur police station area for selling arms.

Bribe arrest

Patna: Ashok Kumar Rai, an employee of the revenue department, was arrested from Ara on Wednesday for of accepting Rs 35,000 as bribe from one Sushil Kumar, a resident of Pakri village.

Blasts release

Motihari: The National Investigation Agency has released one Kamre Alam of Mohabbatpur village after thorough interrogation in the Patna blasts case.

IAS deputation

Patna: Senior IAS officer S. Shiv Kumar, holding the post of additional member of the revenue board, has been relieved for central deputation. Kumar has been appointed as chief vigilance officer of Bharat Electronics Limited, Bangalore.

Probe report

Patna: Rural development minister Nitish Mishra on Wednesday asked the MGNREGA probe team to submit the probe report within 48 hours and bring it to the public domain.

RTE event

Patna: NGO Association for Promotion of Creative Learning would organise a state-level workshop on Right to Education on December 20. he outcome of a project of the NGO aimed to develop a model of community intervention for effective implementation of the act would also be discussed.

Director visit

Patna: Punjab National Bank executive director Gauri Shankar would be on a two-day visit to the state on Thursday to review the performance of the bank.

Trade award

Patna: Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd, a public sector firm, has been awarded the PSE Excellence Award – 2013 in the CSR and sustainability category.

Cell meet

Patna: Shobha Ojha, the national president of women’s cell of All India Congress Committee, would be on a daylong visit to the state on Thursday. She would interact with the officials of the women’s cell in the state.

Railway fine

Patna: East Central Railway has collected revenue of Rs 3.77 crore as fine from passengers for travelling without ticket or in an unauthorised way.
