Chouhan case

Patna: A high court bench on Thursday quashed proceedings against Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In an FIR lodged by Bettiah resident Murad Ali, it was claimed that Chouhan, in November 2009, said at a public meeting people from Bihar would not get jobs at factories in Satna, Madhya Pradesh. Ali accused Chouhan of promoting enmity between different groups on the ground of place of birth and residence. Chouhan had clarified he never made any such statement, the production of which led the case to be dropped.
