Patna: Vineet Kumar (29), one of the bodyguards of Magadh division deputy inspector-general (DIG) of police Bachchu Singh Meena, was killed on Thursday outside the DIG’s official chamber after he accidentally pulling the trigger of his Insas rifle. e was talking on his cellphone at the time of incident. The bullet pierced his neck and he slumped on the floor. He was rushed to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Gaya senior superintendent of police Nishant Kumar Tiwary said an FIR was lodged with the Civil Lines police station in this connection.
