NIA extends remand

Patna: Special NIA court in-charge judge Anil Kumar Singh on Friday extended the police remand of the accused of Bodhgaya serial blasts, Haider Ali and Muzibullah Ansari, till June 18. he court had sent them in police remand for 14 days. The agency told the court that the accused have disclosed the names of places in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh where terrorist camps are active.

CUB notice

Patna: Central University of Bihar has issued notification to shortlisted candidates who have appeared in Central University of Bihar Entrance Test 2014 on May 31 and June 1. The candidates now have to take a written test and interview for final selection. The examination would be held from June 16 to 19.

Fake drugs

Patna: A special team of the Patna police on Friday raided many areas of Boring Road and recovered fake medicines of different companies with a face value of Rs 40 lakh.

Stamp demand

Ranchi (PTI): Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren issued directions to file a writ petition if Bihar did not give revenue maps to the state.

Farmer event

Patna: Swami Sahjanand Saraswati Kisan Vikas Samiti’s president Vinod Sharma said they would organise Kisan Vikas Pakhwara at the district headquarters from June 26 to commemorate the death anniversary of Sahjanand Saraswati. A debate on the condition of farmers would also be organised on June 25.
