Patna: Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Ltd (BSPHCL) chairman-cum-managing director Sandeep Poundrik on Thursday wrote a letter to the road construction secretary, requesting him to ask the department officials to take “no objection” from the engineers of the power distribution firm before carrying out any digging work. ources said that a private telecom company had damaged the underground cable of power company on Wednesday evening. This has caused severe load shedding since Wednesday evening because of cable damage.

Fatal fall

Patna: Fifty-year-old Urmila Devi, wife of assistant sub-inspector Vijay Kumar, died falling from the third floor of her house at Gaurea Sthan on Thursday.
