Cops issue sketch

• The police has issued the sketches of three persons alleged to be the accused in a Rs 45 lakh bank loot case. Criminals looted Rs 45 lakh from the cash van of Allahabad Bank after injuring the security guard in rural Patna on Tuesday.

Criminals intercepted the van near Neema village in Dhanarua police station area, 33km south of Patna, shot at the security guard, and looted the cash.

Transfer

Patna: The Patna police has transferred 194 personnel posted at particular police stations for more than three years. The Patna DIG, central range, Rajesh Kumar and Patna SSP Manu Maharaaj ordered the transfer of these police personnel as they were reports of some police personnel having alleged links with criminals gangs in the state capital.

Camp

Patna: The Indian Red Cross Society on Friday organised a blood donation camp. The donors also underwent a health check-up at the camp.

Film

Patna: Bollywood artistes from Mumbai organised a news meet on Friday in connection with promotion of a Hindi film titled The Rally directed by Deepak Anand. The film has been made under the banner of XIPHIAS Studios Private Limited and will be released on September 8.

Mobile towers

Patna: Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Friday said to get rid of the problem of call drops, mobile towers will be installed on the rooftops of government buildings. Modi said as there are 3 crore mobile customers in Bihar, the government has decided to install towers at government buildings to ensure better connectivity and avoid call drops.

Patna: Heart Hospital, Patna created a record by conducting 53 primary and normal angioplasties in August.

Flood relief

Patna: The Indian Red Cross Society on Friday flagged off relief material for flood-affected victims. The relief material were sent to Sitamarhi district.
